2012: Mama et Maman decide to have a baby
December- Mama begins tracking her BBT
2013:
February: meet with RE
March: Mama has preliminary blood work and sonohysterogram done- normal uterus and clear fallopian tubes
May: Home natural IUI using frozen donor sperm (some leakage = probably didn’t make it into uterus)
June: Clinic IUI with 2.5mg/day x 5 days Letrozole, Ovidrel trigger, and vaginal Prometrium – BFN (done by nurse with lots of leakage = botched)
July: Clinic IUI with 5mg/day x 5 days Letrozole, Ovidrel trigger, and vaginal Prometrium – BFN
August: Clinic IUI with 2.5mg/day x 5 days Letrozole, Ovidrel trigger, and vaginal Prometrium – BFN
September: Start Marvelon (BCP, in preparation for reciprocal IVF); Cortisol over the roof (1069)- cycle cancelled and Mama is referred to endocrinologist
September: Maman has blood work and sonohysterogram done- normal uterus, one fallopian tube possibly blocked
November: Mama repeats blood work twice with endocrinologist- all hormone levels are normal (fertility clinic’s lab work is in question)
December: Start Lupron 20 units daily in preparation for reciprocal IVF
2014:
January: Mama starts Levothyroxine (25 mcg for subclinical hypothyroidism), Gonal-F (200 units daily)
January 21: Egg retrieval from Mama: 21 mature eggs –> 14 fertilized (4 IVF, 10 ICSI) –> 11 Morula –> 6 AB/BB, 1BC day-five blastocysts
January 26: Two fresh embryos (AB, BB) transferred into Maman –> BFP but low bHCG –> bHCG doesn’t double –> Miscarriage #1 for Maman
May 12: Two frozen embryos (AB, BB) transferred into Maman –> BFP but low bHCG –> Miscarriage #2 for Maman
June: Decide to try transferring embryos into Mama; sonohysterogram (again)- normal uterus, open fallopian tubes
August: Two frozen embryos (BB, BC) transferred into Mama –> BFP –> bHCG 33 on 10DP5DT, 61 12DP5DT, 1799 21DP5DT, 39435 during week 8 –> no heartbeat, gestational sac only at week 8 ultrasound –> Miscarriage #1 for Mama
September: D&C
OMG, you guys… A lot of trouble you’ve gone through already 😦 I guess from just glancing at your recent updates, that it finally took. I’m going to go read the progress.
Yup, it’s been a rough journey… But so far so good… Fingers crossed we get our take home babies soon!
